Ameren and Spectrum crews responding to utility pole crash

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Crews are at the scene of a crash early Thursday morning.Our Nissan Rogue Runner reporter Nic Lopez was at the scene located on Lindbergh Boulevard just south of Queen Ann Drive, where the car crash into utility poles, knocking down several power lines. Crews from Ameren and Spectrum are at the scene working on the lines. St. Louis prosecutor killed in south county crash Traffic has been stopped in both directions of Lindbergh, and drivers are urged to take an alternate route.No word yet on the cause of the crash. FOX 2 will update this story with more information as it becomes available.

Non-emergency hotline becomes fully-automated today

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's non-emergency hotline becomes fully automated, Thursday.SLMPD says this change will help remove non-urgent calls from the city's 911 communications Center that could interfere with emergencies. The automated system will direct callers to the appropriate city department. That number is 314-231-1212.Emergency calls will still be handled by 911 dispatch operators.

St. Charles woman killed in hit-and-run crash

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. -  A St. Charles woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on I-70 eastbound near the Warrenton exit.The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, causing a long traffic backup. The Missouri Highway Patrol said 36-year-old Tabatha Knichel walked into the path of an 18-wheeler from the right shoulder of the interstate.
